Helping yourself

When I consider my own issues in life whether it be a physical difficulty or a emotional one I turn to my Creator God to show me the best way to get out of the difficulties I am facing on a day to day basis.

Asking for help is very important, seeking to know how best to deal with emotional trauma can be a challenge. Dealing with people who are not prepared to listen can be very upsetting if you are not ready to sit back and ask for guidance from God. I know that when I was younger I did not ask for help and wondered why I was on in a mess. By turning to God and trusting him has made a major difference in my life.

At 21 I suffered with Chronic nervous indigestion which on the face of does not seem to such a terrible thing, however when it causes you so much pain and the inability to eat or drink because of the level of tightness in your stomach because of fear and anxiety then of course then it becomes unbearable. I went to the Drs in those days and they prescribed me Asilone Suspension which was supposed to relax my stomach and nerves in my body to enable me to relax and start to get back to normal. Sadly it did not work and in fact I was drinking it like water, I was also advised to drink Peppermint which did have a better result.

However my main road to recovery was when I was reading the Word of God, although at the time I was not a believer and was totally convinced it would not be any good for me. Little did I know that despite my unbelief and lack of understanding it was going to be cure for my complete mental and physical well being. I read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and was so sure that it was not going to do anything for me.

When I went to bed that night I was in so much pain in my chest and stomach that I cried out to a God I declared I did not believe in and cried for help because I knew full well that it was either going to be my last day on earth because I had no way out. I had a young baby in the next room and was worried what would happen to her if anything happened to me.

During the time of me crying out to a God I did not believe in a great peace came over me and I went to sleep, when I got up in the morning I felt something had happened to me, I was still alive and breathing and was stunned that I had got no pain at that moment. I then re read the said books again and saw in them the Christ who had touched my life the night before in my in my honest moment to God and crying out to Him, He touched my life and changed it forever.

I share my experiences with you so that no matter what you are going through God hears the broken and lost and unbelieving heart and mind, because He knows you more intimately than you know yourself. Your soul cried out to the Father of all Creation and was heard. Your soul reconnected back to God in that instance and from then on He reveals to your how to move forward. Sadly many people do not want to accept the help that comes from God – they dismiss it and try to make out it is something else, that is fine, that is their choice. For me I am nearly 70 and through out all my difficulties and hardships and bad choices God has always been there.

Reading my blog in different posts and pages you may find useful books which can help you find your own path to wellness and happiness and grace.

For me, my relationship with God is deep and very personal. I am not afraid of death or dying, I know it is the stepping stone to the next realm. Whether I live to 100 or not it in Gods hands. I know his Words bring life and hope to those who reach out and Ask Him for His help. Jesus died on the cross for you to reconcile you back to God. He is the only way back to the Father, for He and the Creator are one. From the beginning they were one. He calls us to be one with each other and one with Him. We are called to Love, Forgive and live in peace with one another.

We need to really take a good hard look at what we believe. Do we believe that Christ came and died and rose again or do you believe that the Easter bunny is going to save you. I now from experience it is the Messiah that saves. It is the Messiah that rose from the dead and went into hell to set the captives free, those that had died before and were waiting for his arrival in Hell to set them free, including all the prophets, including Adam and Eve who also rose and went to paradise with him as he had promised them at the beginning.

Of course for me I have been reading the Gnostic gospels who share the information of a discussion of Satan and other fallen angels of the fact that Jesus was coming and that they knew that he was going to come and set the prophets and all those that had died from the beginning to go with Jesus to paradise. The resurrection of the dead is clearly written and there is written documentation to support this. The discussion that Michael had with Seth regarding what was going to happen. Believe me the more I read of the Ethiopian Bible and the Hebrew Tanakh and the books of Jubilees, Yashar and Enoch the more the beginning of human history is definitely a very interesting time.

As we know that these days are showing very clearly that we are in the End Times. Everything that was prophesied is now coming to pass. Including the rise of the False Teachers and False prophets. The liars that are in power that draw people in dire straits by their constant barrage of lies.

I have learned a lot in the School of Life. Life is very precious and we have to learn to love one another, knowing that we are all connected to each other.
